Mwale said that under the dynamic and wise leadership under Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika, Malawi has improved in many sectors including health sector.

She said as a result of this improvement in this sector, health workers are working very hard giving out their best in their job.

“Since 2004 hospitals are getting adequate funding and as a result there is a smooth running in the operations of health delivery in the country,” she said.

The Deputy Minister on behalf of the Ministry applauded Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika for doing a lot in the health sector and many other government departments for the betterment in the life of a common Malawian.

Officials from the Kasungu District Hospital who spoke during the Minister’s tour, applauded the Bingu led government for the improvement in the country’s heath services especially on the availability of drugs in health facilities.

They said following the coming into office of Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika in 2004, issues of drug shortages in health facilities are a story of the past.

A lot of both local and international analysts have continuously praised Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika and his government for putting the welfare of people at heart.

During the 10 years under former President Bakili Muluzi, the health sector was rocked with many problems ranging from poor services rendered by the health sector, under staffing, lack of medical resources, shortage of drugs that came in as a result of poor supply and thefts-Malawi Digest.
