Is this what Malawians want? Hand-outs?

Former president Bakili Muluzi believes in hand-outs. See the way he is acting like Father Christmas!!!

And more hand-outs from Muluzi in this second picture. A bare footed woman receiving a K50 note from Muluzi. Can that be enough to buy her the shoes Muluzi promised in 1994?

We need to hear from you our esteemed readers, what do you think of Bakili Muluzi's hand-outs culture. Is this what Malawians want for the country to develop?

Please put your comments below we want to know the truth-Malawi Digest.

  1. I don't think this is what Malawians want. May be those asylum seekers living in Canada want this.

I hate Muluzi, I hate his K50s and I hate his behaviour of turning Malawians into beggers.

But I am pleased that under Dr Bingu wa Mutharika this culture has changed turning Malawi into a hard working and well behaved society.

Keep on Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika. In May, you have my vote.

  3. Thats the problem of letting thieves to take highest positions on the land. Nanga sindalama zokubazo zimenezo abale inu! Kodi a Malawi ndiopusa? Kapena kuti tingasankhe munthu chifukwa he makes nasty jokes and dishes K50's. If best jokers make best presidents then lets settle for Bon Kalindo aka Winiko for presidency. But if we want seriousness that this position requires then we need to choose Ngwazi Dr. Bingu wa Mutharika. Everyone who supports Muluzi is lazy and hopes to enrich themselves after the big thief attains power. Nanga nchaninso chingapangitse munthu kutsatira mbabvayi? SIZITHEKA TAKANA!

  5. This is uncalled off behaviour. It only creates a spirit of begging. How many people benefits from the handouts? Is it not putting taxpayers money into the drain? Lets say no to these kind of leaders. We need pro-poor development policies which are sustainable.

  6. This guy(Muluzi) created a culture of begging in Malawi. Even Nga Ntafu begs from Muluzi. Muluzi believes in Master - Servant working relationship. We dont need this again. He should be practicing it at Kapoloma. We had enough in his 10 year reign.

  11. Malawi Digest, I have deep respect for you but to be putting issues about his thief is not good enough. We are fed up with him and dont want even to see or hear about him. Save us from this mad man.

Long Live O Bingu! Long live O Ngwazi
