This was disclosed by Deputy Transport Minister Francis Kasaira in the Shire Valley district of Nsanje.

Speaking to reporters after touring the project being undertaken by the Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika administration, Kasaira said that he was impressed with the kind of progress that he had seen at the site.

The Minister said that the Nsanje Inland Port project remains one of the biggest projects that the Ngwazi Dr Bingu wa Mutharika takes so serious.

  1. Bravo, we shine here in Nairobi because of the projects that are being carried by the Malawi govt. We are featured on KTV Channel every now and then on the irrigation and food security, road networks and other infrastructures etc. We are talk of the day in class at college here.

    Take development head on

  2. I think positively about what Malawi has been doing. That's sense of timing. If Riversadale can carry coal by using barges on the Zambezi river, who are we to deny it while standing with Malawi in SADC?

Also, i always found a perfect political nonsense these Byzantine feuds with Malawi because of this inland port. Nacala and Beira will be sufficiently busy with coal than to give vent to the legitimate demands of the development of Malawi, it is noted that, despite being governed in an autochratic way, has done an exemplary policy to combat HIV / AIDS using local goods and be self-sufficient in agricultural products to the extent that, today, is the largest supplier of corn to Zimbabwe.

Mozambique should rather prepare itself for a new one stop terminal in for Milange border hence stimulate real economic development in languid provinces of Zambezia and Niassa. That would be a constructive attitude for the national unity.

Well done Malawians, who once again give us lessons of persistence, perseverance.
